Kopsa Wind Park’s older section sold to investor

Puhuri Oy has sold Kopsa 1 wind farm to Pirttiselkä Tuulipuisto Oy

Puhuri Oy has sold Kopsa 1 wind farm to Pirttiselkä Tuulipuisto Oy. The owners of Kanteleen Voima Oy, the parent company of Puhuri, are financing their other energy-related investment projects in the province and elsewhere in Finland through the sale of this wind farm, which was completed in 2013.

The transaction will not affect the operation of the wind farm or the position of the landowners. The transaction took place on Monday 17.10.2016.

Pirttiselkä Tuulipuisto Oy is wholly owned by SUSI Renewable Energy Fund II. Otto von Troschke of SUSI Partners AG states: “We are delighted to add Kopsa I to the existing portfolio of Finnish wind farms. Our goal is to continue our investments in Finnish renewable energy and energy efficiency. Together with our service provider Ilmatar Wind Power, we are committed to continuing to use the wind farm to the satisfaction of all parties.”

The Kopsa 1 wind farm has seven Siemens-manufactured SWT-3.0 DD wind turbines. The height of 142.5m were the highest in the country when completed. The park was able to produce 200,000 MWh of clean and renewable wind electricity during the ownership of Puhuri. Puhuri owned the farm for three years.

Puhuri Oy continues as owner and operator of Kopsa 2 wind farm and operator of Ristiveto and Pyhänkoski parks.
