Piipsan Tuulivoima Oy acts as project operator in the Tuulikaarto wind park project.
The Tuulikaarto project area is located in the southern part of the Siikalatva municipality and the northern part of the Kärsämäki municipality. A maximum of 50 wind turbines of max 300 meters in tip height are being planned for this area.
The pre-planning and land use plan of the project kicked off in 2020, and the environmental impact assessment was completed in 2021. The draft plan and EIA will be available for the public in early 2023.
In the plan, the project area is divided into four different zoning areas. There will be two zoning areas in each municipality, separated by the highway E4.
Power transmission will be implemented via Fingrid’s substation in Haapavesi.
