Turbines of the first phase have been built in Pirttiselkä area. Environmental Impact Assessment and a land use plan were completed for the project, and building permits were granted in 2012. Building of the infrastucture was started straight after receiving the permits. Turbines were installed during spring-autumn 2013 and the wind farm was inaugurated in October 2013.
